Terms of Service

By accessing or using SideBet.chat ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We'll make a reasonable effort to notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.

SideBet is a social debt tracking platform. It lets friends record friendly wagers — "I bet you a coffee that X happens" — and tracks who owes who based on agreed outcomes.

SideBet does not:

• Process, hold, or transfer any money
• Set odds or act as a bookmaker
• Facilitate wagering against "the house"
• Provide any gambling services as defined under applicable law
• Guarantee the accuracy of any sports or event data

Any actual exchange of money or goods between users is entirely between the users themselves. SideBet is a recordkeeping tool only.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use SideBet with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements above and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You may register using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep your profile information current. You must not create accounts for others without their consent, impersonate any person, or use a username that is offensive, misleading, or infringes on third-party rights.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including illegal gambling in your jurisdiction
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users over bet outcomes
• Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
• Attempt to defraud or deceive other users regarding bet terms or outcomes
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in automated ways without our permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited communications
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

You retain ownership of any content you post ("User Content"), including bet titles, descriptions, and comments. By posting User Content, you grant SideBet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. We do not endorse any User Content. We reserve the right — but have no obligation — to remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable.

SideBet is a recordkeeping tool. We do not arbitrate disputes between users regarding bet outcomes, payment, or any other matter. Any disagreement about whether a bet was won, lost, or settled is entirely between the users involved.

You release SideBet (and our officers, directors, employees, and agents) from claims, demands, and damages arising out of or in any way connected with disputes between you and other users.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIDEBET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Sports and event data displayed on the platform is provided for informational purposes only and may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete.

We make no representations about the legal status of bet tracking in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIDEBET AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at legal@sidebet.chat.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SideBet regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
